poem: Seed

why are you so afraid of blossoming?
i know the winter has been harsh,
and the pruner’s shears have cut you,
but do not hold back from a hungry world
the fruit you’re wired to create.
look to the horizon;
spring is slithering in,
and all of nature weaves a safety net
for your opening.
